That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind

On July 20th, 1969 Apollo 11 lands on the Moon on the Sea of Tranquillity and transmits the message, “Houston, Tranquillity Base here. The Eagle has landed." As Armstrong steps onto the lunar surface he proclaims, “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” Across the globe, nearly 700 million television viewers witness the event as it happens.
