A new, or old from a certain point of view, look for the Millennium Falcon will be featured as well as an iconic moment in Star Wars history involving the famous Corellian freighter.Way back in A New Hope, Han Solo mentioned he had made a few modifications to his beloved star cruiser, the Millennium Falcon, and made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. Director Ron Howard will undoubtedly offer a visualization of this in the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story anthology film.
A leak appears to have given Star Wars fans some insight on a different look for the Millennium Falcon. In the photo of the Millennium Falcon LEGO set, it appears that the ship is missing a few of its most identifiable features, including the mandibles that give the ship its unique shape.
It's also reported that the upcoming film will feature the events of the Kessel Run, an 18-parsec route used by smugglers to move glitterstim spice from Kessel to an area south of the Si'Klaata Cluster without getting caught by the Imperial ships that were guarding the movement of spice from Kessel's mines.
However, it's unclear on who will be piloting the Millennium Falcon during this event. In A New Hope, Han didn't mention that he was the one flying the ship during the Kessel Run. And, in The Empire Strikes Back, he had mentioned to Lando Calrissian that he won the ship "fair and square." So it's highly possible that Han acquired the ship from Lando after the events of the Kessel Run.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters on May 25, 2018, but we should start seeing some more details emerge very soon. It's rumored that the first teaser trailer will be surfacing during the Monday night football game, but we'll have to wait and see!
