What is Fluid Art?

California-based artist Crystal Ma has discovered a captivating way of creating art on canvas. The technique is called "Fluid Art" and the results are mesmerizing.

The process starts by diluting the paint with pouring medium, water, and a tiny bit of silicon to trigger a chemical reaction. The contents will either be poured directly onto a canvas or turned upside onto the canvas and released for a more sudden and dramatic reaction.

Ma has always been fascinated by different styles of art, reminiscing on a moment when she would take crayons and melt them with the heat of a lightbulb to create drip sculptures when she was only eight years old.

Crystal Ma's Instagram page has received over 15,000 followers and admirers of her fluid art. Check it out to see the breathtaking results of her work.
