With less than a year until Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is released into theaters, we can expect to see many leaked photos, rumors, and spoilers about the upcoming film floating around the interwebs.

The first item we'll mention is the black-hooded supposed Sith lord that appears about halfway through the teaser trailer, wielding a red crossguard lightsaber.  We learned from Entertainment Weekly that this villain's name is Kylo Ren.  At least that's the name presented on the recently released trading card.  Since most Sith generally take on a "Darth" prefix, it will be no surprise if this isn't the character's full name (or only name) in the film.

Rebelscum published the below image from a Chinese message board featuring five Star Wars: The Force Awakens action figure prototypes from Hasbro.  From left to right, you see what appears to be a front view of Kylo Ren with his hood down, Finn, Rey, BB-8, and Chewbacca.  Rey is wearing the same attire from the teaser trailer, while Finn, the "stormtrooper" that appears at the beginning of the teaser trailer, is shown with similar attire to Han Solo.

The big reveal, however, is Kylo Ren's mask and similarities it shares with the mask of Darth Vader, especially the rear portion.  This concept art was originally provided by Indie Revolver, who points out that the scribed lines in the front of the helmet are not colored in the production version.

We'll just have to wait now and see if he lives up to Darth Vader's legacy.
