This Mirror Takes Your Selfies and Posts Them on Twitter

Self taken photos, or selfies, have been a popular trend since the birth of social media.  But the size of a selfie can only extend to the length of your arm.  So digital agency iStrategyLabs came up with a solution called the S.E.L.F.I.E, or "The Self Enhancing Live Feed Image Engine", a two-way mirror that automatically takes photos of you and posts them to your Twitter account.

The S.E.L.F.I.E. consists of the two-way mirror, and a Mac mini and LED lights hidden behind the mirror.  The facial recognition software installed on the Mac recognizes you when you stand in front of the mirror and initiates the photo-taking and uploading processes.

Although the S.E.L.F.I.E. is just an experiment, you can contact iStrategyLabs to pick one up for yourself.

Going through this in my head, the mirror itself is a great idea, but seems a waste to use a fully functional Mac Mini. Hopefully, if they plan to put this into production in the future, they design a component with its sole purpose being photo processing and uploading.
