Now that the Steam Summer Sale hangover effect has ended it's time to find some more hidden gems! I apologize for the lack of games this week, but I will try to make it up with more individual reviews coming soon. That said, happy gaming!

Cuco
GameStop, Inc.

Cuco

Cuco is a precise platformer that focuses more on its puzzles than the actual platforming aspect. It 's short but considering the base price that is fair for the amount of content you get. I will warn you though that one of the last puzzles is extremely difficult in one of the worst ways possible. It's not hard to actually figure out the solution; instead, it's absurdly challenging to make each tight jump work without having to start over from the beginning. To be fair, before that level I quite enjoyed my time with the game and thought the music was rather catchy with its jazz vibes. All of that said, this is a good, cheap jumping in point to newcomers of the genre though I would worry that it is too easy for veterans.

Shoot 1UP

Shoot 1UP is a shmup if you could not guess from the name and it's a good one too! It has a unique mechanic of controlling a lot of ships at once that you can spread out for a powerful attack that leaves you vulnerable or put them all together and play it safe but deal less damage. I am still a newcomer to shmups, but I was able to hold my own on the "chilled" difficulty without too much trouble on my way to beating it. If you love shmups and want to try one that feels different, then this is a good option for you. The music is groovy, and there are plenty of things to shoot, exactly what you want to see in a shmup! If the above picture didn't give it away, there's some kinda sorta nudity. If this is a problem for you, I did notice while looking in the options (a good habit I picked up when reviewing games) that you can turn it off.

Thanks for reading the article! I was really rushed for time this week, so hopefully, the next Weekly will get back to the average amount of games. If you have any suggestions or things you would like to see, feel free to leave a comment below or shoot me an email at darron@whatevo.com.
