Google to take on Xbox and PS4 with its own gaming platform
With Google dabbling in almost every area of the tech industry, it's no surprise to hear that they're now working on their own gaming platform which will directly compete with Microsoft's Xbox console and Sony's PlayStation console.
The rumor came about during E3 where rumors have surfaced that Google is working on their own hardware to integrate with the platform as well as talking with video game developers and large companies to help give their "Yeti" streaming service
a quick boost. Employees from EA have also been transitioning over to the internet giant, opening up more room for speculation.
The platform is said to integrate with other Google products, like YouTube. If that's the case, a streaming service, a gaming platform, and
a direct tie-in to YouTube would make things a lot easier for gamers and could help consolidate their efforts into one.
Considering it's all speculation right now, this could be an excellent thing for both Google and gamers around the world. What are your thoughts? Do you think Google should continue their quest into the gaming world or let the already well-seasoned services like Twitch and Mixer continue holding the mantle?
