'Stranger Things' game coming to console and PC very soon
Due to the popularity of Netflix's Stranger Things series, it's no surprise that an official game would be announced sooner or later, and Telltale Games will be taking on the challenge, bringing the '80's-inspired science fiction thriller to your console and PC very soon.
Telltale games is currently best known for Minecraft: Story Mode
, a point-and-click graphic adventure video game based on the world of Minecraft
. Details are scarce, but it's likely we'll see a similar approach to the Stranger Things
video game, taking on more of a puzzle solver and narrative role versus straight action and button mashing.
If Telltale goes a similar route with Stranger Things
, it'll be another game comprised of episodic releases over time and available for the Nintendo Switch and PC, as well as for Android and iOS devices.
There's no word on whether or not the cast of Stranger Things
will be involved in the game in any way, or really any other details involving the development progress, story, etc. However, a Telltale spokesperson did mention they're "excited to reveal details on the project later in the year."
The Telltale Games version will have no relation to Stranger Things: The Game
, released by Bonus XP back in October 2017.
Telltale Games has also had much success dabbling in franchises such as Game of Thrones
, Guardians of the Galaxy
, and Batman: The Enemy Within
