Square Enix kept it pretty quiet this year, but they did show off a new title from PlatinumGames called Babylon's Fall. Ubisoft impressed with more details about the new Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and Beyond and Good Evil 2. The PC Gamer show had plenty of indie gems including Ooblets, Sable, and Maneater.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider which already had a trailer shown during Microsoft’s conference, was shown off in a new gameplay trailer. The gameplay seems to be similar to the past two games in the reboot series, so I am sure it will be fun.
The Quiet Man was announced in a live-action/CG teaser trailer. It's said to have "realistic CG and action gameplay." I don't have high hopes for this one, but you can judge it yourself.
Dragon Quest XI received a new traile. It continues to look amazing and I hope it plays just as well.
Octopath Traveler got a new trailer that shows off all of the playable characters you can choose from. This is one of the games I have been most anticipating and the wait has been killing me.
Babylon's Fall is the newest game from PlatinumGames and it was shown off in a reveal trailer. It will be coming out in 2019 on PS4 and PC. PlatinumGames always makes high quality games so this will be on to keep an eye on!
Beyond Good and Evil 2 was shown off in a couple of trailer with one of them showing a bit of gameplay. You can play it by yourself or with friends in co-op. They are working with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s HitRECord company in order to allow for creators around the world to contribute to the game and get paid for it. I really love the first game and hope this is similar in the end.
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey had quite a bit of gameplay shown off during the conference. You can play as either a man or a woman and have the option of pursuing romantic options with men or women no matter which character you choose. It makes me happy that they are allowing for gay relationships. I hope more games start including the option.
Trials Rising is the newest entry in the Trials series and was shown in a reveal trailer. There will be a closed beta later this year, and it will be coming in February 2019 for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch. I recently got into Trials Fusion and while I am not very good at it, it is so satisfying when you finally get a section down.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is getting a new DLC starring Donkey Kong! It's called Donkey Kong Adventure and will be releasing on June 26. I'm glad Nintendo and Ubisoft are continuing to support the game because it's a really unique idea for a game and turned out pretty well.
Yet another game that includes a Nintendo character, Starlink: Battle of Atlas, was shown off in a trailer that included the surprise appearance of Fox Mccloud from the Star Fox series. It will be releasing October 16th for Xbox One, PS4, and Switch. Fox McCloud is understandably exclusive to the Switch version.
Division 2 was shown off in more trailers, and we found out that it will include raids. It'll also be receiving free DLC updates in the first year.
