Sense8 gets one final hurrah on Netflix

Sense8 Finale

After last season's cliffhanger ending paired with fans pleading for the continuation of the story, Netflix has decided to give the fans what they want with a two-hour finale special coming soon.

Sense8's true foundation has always been centered around one single question: What does it mean to be human? The latest trailer for the upcoming two-hour finale (below) seems to focus on that question with great depth and emotion.

The series, created by Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski, and J. Michael Straczynsk, was abruptly cancelled in 2017, resulting in fans rallying against Netflix in anger demanding that the show continue on. Your voices have been heard as Wachowski announced the two-hour finale will air at the beginning of June.

"Improbably, unforeseeably, your love has brought Sense8 back to life,” Wachowski wrote. “(I could kiss every single one of you!). It is my great pleasure, as well as Netflix’s (believe me, they love this show as much as we do but the numbers have been challenging) to announce that there will be another two hour special released next year."

Sense8's finale will be available to stream on Netflix on June 8.
