I am back with a small selection of hidden gems that deserve some love and will not break your bank! No need to feel bad if you can't purchase some of the games. I included a free game that is just as awesome in this week’s edition. Happy gaming!

Mushroom Heroes
GameStop, Inc.

Mushroom Heroes

Mushroom Heroes is a fantastic hidden gem that you can download from the Steam store... for free! It plays like a puzzle platformer with you switching between three characters that use different abilities. The red guy lets you jump higher and float while the blue guy can move things and block attacks with his shield, and the green guy can attack with a bow.

The music is incredibly relaxing and gets you into a calm mindset in order to not be overly frustrated by puzzles. The artwork and animations are adorably cute, especially for the three main characters you play as. If you try the game and love it as I did, consider supporting the dev by donating (There's an option for this in the main menu) or buying one of their paid games. Note: It also has controller support and is only a 140 MB download.

Ender Story: Chapter 1

Ender Story: Chapter 1

Ender Story: Chapter 1 is a pretty straightforward RPGMaker game with nice visuals. One of the best things about it to me is the art seems to be custom made. When I tried it out, I didn't realize the music was custom made as well, no wonder it sounded so good! Not only was it audibly pleasing, but it also helped set the fantasy setting nicely.

The game is around three to four hours long so if you're into these kinds of games, then this is a nice hidden gem find. Otherwise, I'd watch some gameplay to see if it's something you could get into. As a lover of RPGs, it's a definite recommend for me.

Insanity's Blade

Insanity’s Blade

Insanity’s Blade has a retro feel to it that is reminiscent of Castlevania. The game is difficult, but with enough patience, you can get through it. My biggest complaints would be that the text in the game is nearly unreadable which caused me to struggle to find the options. While that was frustrating, this game is definitely worth a look if you're into classic action platformers. I didn't like the presence of a timer, and at a couple of points, I could not progress without taking a hit from an enemy that was blocking the way.

Considering the low price and the awesome genre, I give it a recommend. If you do end up purchasing it, the devs have a new game coming out that looks like a blast!

Thanks for reading the article! Hope you found something you liked and if not feel free to give any suggestions. See you next time.
