What's Your Favorite Star Wars Film From the Sequel Trilogy?

Star Wars VII and VIII poll

Both Star Wars movies from the sequel trilogy have been major successes in the box office, despite criticism received from critics and fans.

The Force Awakens

The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, takes place three decades after Return of the Jedi where the Empire's fate lied in defeat. A new threat rises in the militant First Order. Stormtrooper defector Finn and the scavenger Rey are caught up in the Resistance's search for the missing Luke Skywalker. The movie made over $2 billion in box office sales alone, making it the third highest grossing feature film of all time.

The Last Jedi

In The Last Jedi, directed by Rian Johnson, Rey develops her newly discovered abilities with the guidance of Luke Skywalker, who is unsettled by the strength of her powers. Meanwhile, the Resistance prepares for battle with the First Order. This film has grossed considerably lower than its predecessor, raking in about $1.32 billion worldwide. Despite the criticism, this film has received since its release, even including a petition to remove the story from Star Wars canon, I believe it was actually a pretty good film.
