If you love the Star Wars sequel trilogy, then you're in for a treat! Disney has released new comic books depicting untold stories taking place before and during the events of the The Last Jedi.In a comic released by Disney on January 31, we explore the relationship between Rose Tica and her sister, Paige (who we saw plummet to her unfortunate death for the Resistance at the beginning of The Last Jedi). This is the latest installment in the Forces of Destiny series titled Rose & Paige, created by author Delilah S. Dawson, artist Nicoletta Baldari, colorist Matt Wilson, and cover artist Elsa Charrelier.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is also getting a comic of its own in a six-issue adaption for Marvel by Gary Whitta, similar to what was done for The Force Awakens and Rogue One. Whitta has also collaborated in Star Wars projects as a writer for Rogue One and an episode of Star Wars: Rebels.
Whitta provided some cover art for the upcoming comic series leaving fans excited and wanting more. And, of course, porgs!
According to the Hollywood Report, the comic will feature scenes not added to the actual film but will still be considered canon and add some additional context to the story. All art will be featured by Michael Walsh and Mike Spencer with covers created by Mike Del Mundo.
This should keep fans busy until Solo: A Star Wars Story and Episode IX in the meantime.
Star Wars: Forces of Destiny: Rose & Paige is available for purchase now from IDW, and Marvel will release the first issue of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on May 2.
