Zac Efron to Play Ted Bundy in New Biopic

If you were skeptical of Zac Efron portraying serial killer Ted Bundy before, take a look at some of these photos and question no more.

Zac Efron, well known for starring in comedies and musicals such as Neighbors and High School Musical, has accepted the role in a new biopic of Ted Bundy, an American serial killer, kidnapper, and rapist who assaulted and murdered numerous young women in the 1970's.

New photos have surfaced on set, and Efron's resemblance to Bundy and his demeanor are uncanny, as you saw above. Efron also posted this shot of himself posing in a Volkswagen, Bundy's car during the time of murders:

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is a chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.

Even given Efron's history, it's normal for actors to expand to other roles at some point. I'm sure his job portraying Ted Bundy on film will match what we've seen so far.

The film doesn't have a release date yet, but the filmmakers are most likely taking their time. As Ted Bundy once said: "When you work hard to do something right, you don't want to forget it."
