Blizzard Entertainment and Dark Horse Comics announced the return of StarCraft to the comic book world with a four-issue miniseries that will hit the shelves this summer.StarCraft: Scavengers will follow a group of Terrans on "the job of their lifetimes, pillaging a derelict Protoss ship in a decaying orbit above an uninhabited planet." The story will be written by Jody Houser of DC Comics' "Mother Panic" and Valiant Entertainment's "Faith", and illustrated by Gabriel Guzmán of Dark Horse Comics' "Mass Effect: Discovery" and "Star Wars").
Dark Horse Comics stated in a recent press release some details about the upcoming plotline:
"The scavengers' dangerous mission is seen from the point of view of a young, inexperienced engineer. The team must scavenge the ship's priceless tech before it burns up in the planet's atmosphere, but can they beat the clock and avoid being busted by Dominion police forces?"
Sounds like a pretty solid story. Here's some cover art to get you even more pumped:

Blizzard has worked with publishers Tokyopop and DC Comics / Wildstorm in the past on StarCraft comics, with StarCraft: Frontline and the StarCraft graphic novel. They have also published digital comics based on the franchise as part of StarCraft 2's War Chest program.
I was a huge fan of the games, so I'll definitely be looking forward to this. StarCraft: Scavengers #1 will be released on July 25, 2018, and will be available for preorder in comic shops "soon" according to the Dark Horse press release.
