What to Expect at Star Wars Celebration 2017

Star Wars Celebration 2017, taking place this time in Orlando, Florida, is already around the corner and there's a ton that's going on this year.

One of the most anticipated events, of course, being an introduction into Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Lucasfilm has been extremely quiet about this title, on purpose most likely, which will undoubtedly make this the most anticipated panel at the event.

At this point, I've purposefully (and painfully) stayed away from pretty much any news or rumors regarding Episode VIII so that anything presented at the celebration is more of a surprise and a shock. However, I have heard reports that the general public will be seeing a behind the scenes trailer for Episode VIII, similar to what we saw a few years ago for Episode VII at Comic-Con. Anyone attending the event will be able to see the actual teaser trailer, probably days or so before anyone else.

40 Years of Star Wars is an event starting Thursday morning at 11:00 am which will be hosted by Warwick Davis and Kathleen Kennedy. They will have discussions with some of the Star Wars Universe's brightest stars, highlighting the impact of the galaxy far, far away, and the fandom that has propelled it for the last four decades.

Mark Hamill will be returning for his sixth Star Wars Celebration at a panel titled "Hamill Himself," featuring an hour of anecdotes and audience Q&A. Hamill will also be dedicating part of his time on stage to honor Carrie Fisher, well-known for her role in Star Wars as Princess Leia, who had passed away in December last year.

Other speakers include Warwick Davis, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Kathleen Kennedy and much more.

For a full list of speakers, panels, and events, visit the official Star Wars Celebration website at starwarscelebration.com - as of right now, tickets are still available for almost all days, so make sure to order.
