Back in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, we were introduced to young Anakin Skywalker and learned how he was born and able to use The Force. Though not a pleasing result for many fans, we still had an answer. Rey's origin may still be up in the air, but her ability to use The Force has been confirmed.

Writer Charles Soule and illustrator Giuseppe Camuncoli give us some insight into Rey's Force-user abilities in the new, tenth issue of the Darth Vader comic series.

Conan Properties International revealed that Conan The Barbarian will be returning to the Marvel Universe in a new agreement where Marvel will be taking over the franchise in January 2019.

Marvel owned the license to the Conan franchise from 1970 to 2000. After a successful 30-year run publishing hundreds of stories featuring the character, Dark Horse Comics took over the rights. Marvel has yet to announce any specific books or creative teams involved. It's also not clear whether or not they will continue where the story that Dark Horse Comics left off, or if they'll be creating a new story centered around the hero.

Many of us collected comic books about our favorite superheroes when we were kids. But recent data shows that the comic book trend didn't stop as we became adults, it only continued to rise.

Since 2010, estimated sales of the top 300 comic books of all time have climbed nearly 30 percent from 69.2 million copies to 89.4 million copies in 2016, according to figures from Diamond Comic Distributors. In revenue, that's a jump from $322 million to over $437 million in total sales, driving the average comic book price from $3.55 to $3.85. Unfortunately, there is nothing to compare post-2016 since that's the latest available. However, the trend seems to continue to keep rising.

In trends over the years, superhero movies based on Marvel comic book characters tend to fly high while DC movies are hit-or-miss. But, outside the box office, DC seems to be selling more comic books than its competition.

The famous comic book store Challengers Comics + Conversation based out of Chicago, Illinois recently tweeted about their sales figures, stating they were "down $21,000 in single-issue Marvel sales alone." This may not seem like a large number considering box office sales for recently released films like Thor: Ragnarok which made $848.3 million and Spider-Man: Homecoming which raked in a total $880.2 million, however Challengers is one of the largest comic book dealers in America. If they're having a hard time pushing Marvel issues, smaller dealers most likely are as well. Challengers also noted that DC Comic sales were up $2,000. Pins, t-shirts, posters, and toys were also up.
